Every tee made to your length.

    01

Why are most t-shirts the wrong length?

Because sizing only scales in one direction. A size M is cut to a single fixed body length, and that same length is sent to a man of 5'6 and a man of 6'2. One of them gets a tee that swamps him, the other gets one that rides up. Width is graded across sizes, length barely is. It is the most common complaint about t-shirts and almost nobody does anything about it.

Can I change the length of my Cerana tee?

Yes, on every tee, and it costs nothing. Because we sew each tee only after you order it, we cut it to the length you ask for rather than to a standard we picked. You join the Founders Club, which is free, and save your length once in the Founders App. Every tee you order after that is cut to it automatically.

How much can I adjust it by?

Up to 10cm shorter or 10cm longer than the standard length, in 1cm steps. The adjustment applies on top of whichever size you choose, and there is no extra cost at any point in the range.

Can I set it once instead of choosing every time?

That is exactly how it works. You set it once and never again. Join the Founders Club, which is free, and save your length in the Founders App. From then on every tee you order is cut to it automatically, with nothing to choose at the point of ordering.

How do I work out the length I need?

You do not have to guess, and you do not have to measure anything. We send you a tee to try on at home first. Put it on, decide whether you want it shorter or longer, then send it back to us. Postage is covered both ways and it costs nothing. That is The Cerana Fitting, and it is the honest answer to a problem every online clothing brand hands back to the customer.

    What is The Cerana Fitting?

A free try-on service for Founding Members. You choose your usual size. We post you a try-on tee, you wear it at home, work out whether the length wants adjusting, then send it back in the same packaging. We pay the postage in both directions and there is no deposit. Fittings follow the same weekly rhythm as any Cerana order: request by Sunday 11pm and it goes out with that Friday's dispatch, reaching you the following Thursday. Try-on tees come back to us and go out to the next person, so they are limited in number. UK only, from 31 August 2026.

Do I have to do the fitting to order?

No. Most people order straight away and take the standard length, which is cut the way any good tee would be. The fitting is there for the people who have never once had a tee sit right, and who would rather know than hope.

Does a custom length delay my order?

No. Custom-length tees are cut alongside the rest of that week's orders and go out in the same Friday dispatch.

If I change my length later, what happens to tees I already own?

Nothing. Each tee is made to the length recorded at the time you ordered it, so past orders keep the length they were made to. Changing your profile only affects what you order next.

    The numbers

Every cut-to-order tee comes in two fits, Oversized or Classic, and you choose yours on the product page. These are our actual cutting measurements for both. Most brands will not publish them and none of them will let you change them.

    XL7565–858070–90
    XXL7767–878373–93

Is the oversized tee longer than the classic?

No, and this surprises almost everyone. Our oversized tee is wider, not longer. At size M the oversized body length is 71cm and the classic is 74cm, so the oversized is actually 3cm shorter. What makes it oversized is the chest, 62cm flat against the classic's 54cm, and the dropped shoulder. If you have been buying oversized tees hoping for more length, that is very likely why they have never sat right. Length and volume are two different problems and most brands only sell you one of them.

How long is a Cerana tee, exactly?

Measured flat, in centimetres, from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem. Oversized runs 67, 69, 71, 73, 75, 77 across XS to XXL. Classic runs 68, 71, 74, 77, 80, 83. Your 10cm adjustment applies to whichever of those you start from, so an oversized M can be anything from 61cm to 81cm, and a classic L anything from 67cm to 87cm.

    03

Price, and why we can do this

How much is a Cerana tee?

£35, or £31.50 if you are a Founders Club member. That is the price whether you take the standard length or have it cut to yours. The adjustment is never an upcharge, and there is no bespoke premium, because cutting to a different line costs us nothing extra.

How can you cut to length at that price?

Because it's our own factory in Bali. Most brands place bulk orders with a third-party manufacturer against a fixed spec, months ahead, in set quantities. Changing the length of one garment in that system is not expensive, it is simply not possible. We run our own factory in Bali, so a different length is just a different cut line on the same table.

Is a bespoke length not usually a luxury service?

It usually is, and it usually carries a tailor's bill on top of the garment. The reason it is normally expensive is the second pair of hands, someone altering a tee that was already finished. Ours is never finished to the wrong length in the first place, so there is nothing to alter and nothing to charge for.

    04

    Choosing your print style

What is the difference between Signature, Subtle and Super Subtle?

It is how much of the design you wear. Signature carries the full artwork on the front and the back. Subtle carries the front print only, and the back stays plain. Super Subtle keeps the print minimal, for when you want the piece without the statement. Same tee, same fabric, same price. The choice is yours rather than ours.

    Which style should I choose?

Signature if you want the design to be the point of the tee. Subtle if you want something that reads clean from behind and still carries the mark. Super Subtle if you want a plain tee that happens to be a very good one. Most brands make that decision for you and print one version. We would rather you made it.

Can I combine a style with a custom length?

Yes. Fit, size, length and print style are four independent choices and every combination is sewn to order.

    05

    Fit, sizing and fabric

What is the difference between the classic and the oversized fit?

Classic is a closer, regular cut that sits truer to the body. Oversized is boxy and relaxed with dropped shoulders, for a fuller, draped look. They are two different patterns, not the same tee in a bigger size, and each has its own standard length that you can then adjust.

Why are most of your tees oversized?

Because that is what people are wearing right now, so that is where we are putting the designs. Classic is not going anywhere and every design can be cut that way, the range simply leans oversize while the demand does.

    What size should I order?

Take your usual size in both fits. The oversized is already cut boxy, so sizing up on top of it usually overshoots. Our model is 5'10 and wears a size M. If the length is what usually puts you between sizes, order your normal size and use the length adjustment instead. That is what it is for.

    What is the fabric?

100% cotton, a soft midweight jersey. No polyester and no blends. Several tees are then garment-dyed or hand spray-dyed, which gives a washed, lived-in finish, so the tone varies slightly from one piece to the next. That variation is the process, not a fault.

    06

    Sewn to order

What does sewn to order actually mean?

Your tee does not exist when you buy it. We cut and sew it after the order lands, in our own studio in Bali. That is what makes the length adjustment free and it means we hold almost no finished stock, so nothing is made that nobody wanted.

    Who actually makes my tee?

Five people, and we can name every one of them. Irfan cuts, Putu does the printing, Lita sews. Ata handles the ironing, tagging and QC, so nothing leaves the building without someone having properly looked at it. Aneta manages the floor. Your tee passes through those five pairs of hands and no others. Most brands could not tell you the name of a single person who touched their clothes, because they genuinely do not know.

    Why should I wait for a t-shirt?

Because the wait is the product. A tee sitting in a warehouse was cut to a length somebody guessed at, in a quantity somebody gambled on, by a factory the brand has probably never walked into. Yours is cut after you order it, to the length you chose, by the makers on our team. That takes until Friday. It is also the only reason the length adjustment can be free, because there is no finished garment to alter.

    Is Cerana sustainable?

Our answer is in how we make things rather than in a badge on the label. The single biggest source of waste in clothing is producing garments nobody buys. Brands order in bulk months ahead, guess the demand, then discount, outlet or destroy what is left over. We do not have that problem to solve because we do not create it: your tee is cut after you order it. Almost everything that leaves our factory already belongs to somebody before it is made.

So what happens to the tees that do not sell?

There is barely a pile to talk about. We hold a small amount of stock, the try-on tees for fittings and a handful of pieces in the UK, and that is it. There is no warehouse of last season waiting to be marked down. We also cap production at 20 tees a day, which keeps the quality honest and stops us from making a stock problem for ourselves.

    When will my order arrive?

Order by Sunday 11pm UK time and your tee joins that week's dispatch, which leaves the Bali studio on the Friday. UK orders are typically with you the following Thursday. Order after the cut off and you simply join the next Friday.

Why does the shop sometimes close for the day?

We cap production at 20 tees a day so the quality holds. When the day's tees are spoken for, checkout closes and reopens at 7am UK time the next morning. There is also a limit of 5 tees per customer per day so everyone gets a chance.

Where do you ship, and what does it cost?

Shipping is free. UK orders ship free with 48-hour tracked delivery and Bali orders are delivered free with standard island delivery. We currently sell in the United Kingdom and Bali only.

Can I return a tee that was cut to my length?

Yes, on exactly the same terms as any other brand. You have 30 days from delivery to request a return, and a custom length changes nothing about that. We take the risk on the adjustment, not you. What happens next is the part we are proud of: a returned tee is never binned and never dumped into an outlet. It is recycled and gifted onwards, and returns go to charity. Somebody wears it either way.

A size M is the same length for a man of 5'6 and a man of 6'2. That is the whole problem. Yours is cut to you.
